Hans Rat, UITP Secretary-General and ITF’s award partner, was delighted with the global response to the call for applications for the award: “It was a difficult task to single out any one particular application so the jury of seven transport experts determined there was merit in recognising not only an overall award winner, but also two joint runners-up and three special mentions.”
The awards will be presented at a Gala Dinner by German Transport Minister Peter Ramsauer during the International Transport Forum’s annual event in Leipzig, Germany. Dignitaries from the honoured cities will also be present.
